About the HPI Sprint RTR

The HPI Sprint is a ready to run electric rc car. This is an entry level touring car that is one level higher than the budget HPI Dash electric car.

This electric rc car comes completely assembled - the motor, ESC, and servo - are all installed.

The body come painted, trimmed, and with decals.

Technical Specifications: 1/10 scale electric touring car, 190mm wide, 4 wheel drive, belt drive transmission, sealed gear differentials, oil filled shocks, HPI Saturn 20-turn motor, Airtronics radio control system, reversing Nosram electronic speed control, purple anodized aluminum parts, and rubber racing tires.

The HPI Sprint RTR electric cars has been clocked at 22 mph by Car Action, making it one of the fastest RTR touring cars.

How long does the battery last?

Depending on your driving style, anywhere between 5 - 8 minutes on a full charge.

If something breaks will I be able to get parts for it?

HPI sell a lot of spare and hop up parts for the Sprint. It would depend on your local hobby shop or online store whether they have stock of these parts.

How fast can it go with hop-up parts and options?

The electronic speed control (ESC) can handle 16 turn motors, which should push the car to 30 mph. The stock motor that comes with the kit is 20 turns, pushing the car to an out of the box speed of 22 mph.

By changing the speed control, batteries, and motor, it is possible to push the car close to 40 mph.

What is the difference between the Sprint and the Dash?

The Sprint is better than the Dash. The Sprint has a 540-size, 20 turn motor, pushing it to 22 mph. The Dash has a 380-size motor, pushing the Dash to 12 - 15 mph.

You can also upgrade the Sprint to make it faster. The Dash is not upgradeable.
