Initial D Car AE86 Project D

So you're a fan of the Initial D movie and anime series? Well so am I. So much so that I've decided to build a 1/10 electric powered Initial D rc car, the Trueno AE86 driven by Takumi. Project D!

Part I: Trueno AE86 Car Body

There are only a couple of 1/10 rc car bodies of the Trueno AE86. It is a choice between the one made by Yokomo or ABC hobbies.

Personally, I think the ABC body looks more realistic and closer to the Initial D AE86 car. Fortunately I was able to find this at a local hobby shop called Action Hobbies.

The chassis is a Tamiya 414 touring car. Black rims are from Kyosho. LRP Quantum 2 ESC and 27-turn motor complete the package.
