Tamiya TNX Nitro Monster Truck

1/8th Scale Nitro Monster Truck - Tamiya's TNX!

Following the popular Tamiya Terra Crusher is the new Tamiya TNX nitro powered monster truck. From the website of RCCA, the Tamiya TNX is 4 pounds lighter and is powered by a .18 OS engine. The TNX monster truck also comes with a 2-speed transmission (no reverse). The TNX uses and electric start system, and has an estimated top speed of 40+ miles per hour!

Both of these 1/8 scale nitro monster trucks come factory assembled. It seems that Tamiya has upped the performance by making the Tamiya TNX faster than the Tamiya Terra Crusher.

Too soon to tell, but the Tamiya TNX looks to be a serious contender in the battle of the nitro monster trucks dominated by HPI's Savage 21 and Traxxas T-Maxx. Note that HPI is also coming out with a faster HPI Savage 25 monster truck.
